APC chieftain drowns in Abuja flood. Naija_Miracity

Akamukalem who is a member the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the party died after flood occasioned by heavy rainfall swept his car. Some residents who witness the incident said they watched helplessly as the flood swept the party chieftain and his car to their end, Vanguard reports. His remains were immediately recovered and deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital Morgue.

Bolaji Abdullahi said the APC received the news of the death of Akamukalem with shock.

Reacting to Akamukalem’s demise, the APC in a statement issued on Thursday, June 15, by the party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said it received the news of the death of the party chieftain with shock.

The party said it was sad that Akamukali depated when he was needed to contribute to nation building and the implementation of the APC Change Agenda at this crucial time. The late Akamukali was a former national chairman of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) that merged with other political parties to form the APC in 2013. Meanwhile, the Kano state chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) chapter in Bebeji local government area has expelled Abdulmumin Jibrin, The Cable reports

Ranka at a press briefing on Thursday, June 15, accused the suspended member of the house of representatives of promoting divisive tendencies. It was reported that other party executives at the briefing said stakeholders reached a unanimous decision to expel Jibrin.
